It was an honour to cater The New Life Gala again this year benefitting The Kibaale Community Centre -Kuasha. Hosted at one of our favourite venues Sky Hangar, it was a wonderful evening in beautiful setting. It was such a joy to work alongside the event coordinators again this year to plan this beautiful evening. Event coordinators Rachel Sledding and Lisa Moody from Grapevine Designs wanted the evening to have an “Academy Awards” theme and black-tie feel. To add a playful touch we started the evening with welcoming guests walking down the red carpet with trays of popcorn boxes for guests to enjoy while being introduced to the theme of the night.
For dinner, guests enjoyed a five course meal beginning with Roasted Tomato Soup made fresh with roasted cherry tomatoes, a goat cheese crostini, and topped with chive infused oil. Next, guests received our classic Poached Apple Salad with baby lettuce greens, topped with English cheddar and candied almonds. For this year’s main course our team decided on Beef Tenderloin paired with heirloom carrots and cauliflower potato puree in a cherry au jus. For dessert, guests indulged in our ever so popular Dessert Trio. Created specially for this event, the trio consisted of, apricot amandine & ginger chantilly, limoncello tiramisu & white chocolate cream, and chocolate nemesis cake & espresso Italian meringue. Served alongside dessert was of course, freshly brewed local Republica coffee.
“We hired White Table Catering for our New Life Gala for the past two years. I can promise you we will continue to use them in whatever we do. The quality of their food was the best. Comment after comment from everyone was how amazing the food was. Mark and Carly were so easy to work with. They had amazing ideas and were very accommodating to anything we requested. They are now our go-to caterers.”
It is such a joy for us to give back and be apart of events we believe in and we are excited for the opportunity to be apart of this event again in the future! Check out the New Life Gala Facebook Page for more photos of the event by Irene Hannestad Photography.
