Jessica’s Baby Shower

When Aimee contacted us about doing her daughter Jessica’s baby shower, we were thrilled! The shop owners of Aimee B, a clothing boutique right in the heart of Fort Langley (our stomping grounds as well) were teaming up with designer Rashell of Paridot Decorative Homeware, to create an elegant baby shower for the mom to be.

The shower was held at The Gouwenberg Farm, Paridot’s Rashell’s gorgeous property. Set up on the lawn beside the pool deck was a long table covered with a beautiful linen tent.  White florals, grey and white linens and greenery complemented the outdoor home decor perfectly.

When guests arrived they were treated to a build-your-own Mimosa Bar with multiple juice and fruit options and complete with homemade edible flower ice cubes.

For food, a charcuterie and cheese board was the main feature. The large wooden serving board was filled with specialty cheeses and cured local meats, pesto infused hummus, and fresh fruit filled with fresh herbs and edible flowers.

A feature cheese covered in edible flower petals was one of the details the chef and creative team added to the display to make it unique and feminine.

Also on the hor’dourves station, were three types of bruschetta. First was a Fig and Ricotta Crostini with pistachios and local honey. Next, was Classic Heirloom Tomato Bruschetta with fresh basil, aged balsamic and fleur de sel. Lastly, was our popular Prawn and Avocado toast with crushed avocado, lemon and marinated prawn topped with a sweet flavoured edible flower.

On such a hot day in June, our popular infused water station and fresh lemonade were the perfect way for guests to cool off.

This shower was so beautiful and the setting couldn’t have been more perfect. We are so happy we got to play apart in this special celebration.

Congratulations Jessica! We can’t wait to meet the little one in town!
