Nature & Scope
The Catering Event Specialist will be responsible for meeting with clients, creating contracts and ensuring all the details for an event are organized, communicated clearly and executed well. This person will be the main point of contact for the Event Planner/client and the culinary team throughout the planning process and will be the main point of contact for the Day of Event Manager on the event day.

Duties and Responsibilities
Create contracts and quotes using the White Table Process
Approach all tasks in line with the White Table philosophy, aesthetic and standard of excellence
Communicate in a timely, professional and organized manner with clients, vendors, and the culinary team
Book, set and attend client tastings
Attend and schedule sit-visits when applicable
Attend weekly staff meetings
Develop and foster relationships with all White Table partners
Develop and foster new client relationships
Take photos and video of events for social media
When required, assist with set-up and breakdown of items required to complete the event successfully
Ensure all commitments and special requests are communicated and met for each client and event
Create all required documentation for each event including timelines, floorplans, packing lists, service plans etc…
Contribute to a clean, sanitary and professional work environment
Communicate with all staff, outside vendors, and the public in a professional, helpful and kind manner
Complete any other duties necessary to ensure the success of the operation
Promote teamwork, cleanliness, and professionalism
Assist with marketing campaigns and photoshoots when needed
Know current trends in event design, decor, food and beverage
Attend wedding shows and industry events when needed
Attend staff training and social events
Occasionally “all hands on deck” for certain events
Requirements
Valid Serving it Right certification
Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on the business’ and event-specific needs
Must be eligible to work in Canada
Phone plan with data needed; for use with workplace apps, and communication with teams and clients
A valid Driver’s License is an asset
Ability to bend, lift, and carry 50 pounds
Ability to stand and be mobile for an excess of 8 hours
Ability to read and interpret documents such as recipes, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, floorplans, contracts and procedure manuals
Experience in event planning
Experience in catering/food and beverage is an asset
Experience in Caterease Software is an asset
Salary: $50,000 – &60,000 (based on experience)
