Nicola Wealth’s 90s Summer Party

A Nostalgic Throwback — Reimagined the White Table Way

When Nicola Wealth asked us to bring the 90s to life for their summer party, our entire team collectively gasped… and then immediately started shouting menu ideas across the office.

Because here’s the thing — we grew up in the 90s.

This wasn’t just a theme. It was core memory territory.

From Dino Nuggets and Mr. Noodles to Campbell’s tomato soup, Kraft Dinner, Happy Meals, Lunchables, Bagel Bites and corner store candy runs… our wheels were turning fast. The challenge? Make it nostalgic and instantly recognizable — but elevate it to our culinary standards. No processed food. No shortcuts. All chef-driven. All made from scratch.

And that’s exactly what we did.

Reimagining Childhood Favourites (But Make It Luxury) Every menu item started with a memory — and ended with a from-scratch execution.

Campbell’s Tomato Soup & Grilled Cheese
Mini tomato soup “cans” were passed alongside grilled cheese — but instead of the classic red label, we designed a custom pink version to match the event’s décor. Our in-house creative team recreated a Campbell’s-style label featuring White Table Catering in a nostalgic font. The soup? Made from scratch. The grilled cheese? Elevated, perfectly crisp, and undeniably comforting.

Mr. Noodles — Reinvented
We created custom Mr. Noodle-style labels for our bowls, swapping in a lime green palette to align with the event design and incorporating the client’s name into the branding. It looked like the instant noodles we all devoured after school. It tasted like a chef-crafted, elevated ramen experience.

Adult Lunchables
Possibly the most challenging — and most fun — element to execute. Our team sourced the perfect packaging to create a grown-up version of Lunchables that still felt authentic. Inside? Salami, artisan cheeses, and fresh crudité. The labels were custom-fit to the packaging so it felt like the real thing — just refined. The nostalgia factor was immediate.

The Pasta Station: Kraft Dinner & Chef Boyardee
We created disposable pasta cups styled to resemble the microwavable comfort foods we grew up on. Custom labels mimicked Kraft Dinner and Chef Boyardee packaging — but the pasta inside was handcrafted from scratch. No boxed powder. No canned sauce. Just elevated comfort food presented in the most playful way possible.

McDonald’s Cheeseburgers (Yes, Even the Cheese)
These were passed throughout the room — and they looked exactly like a McDonald’s cheeseburger, complete with that signature square “processed” cheese slice. Except… the cheese was made in-house. Yes. Even the cheese. Every bite delivered nostalgia — but with quality ingredients and chef precision behind it.

Dino Nuggets & Sweet and Sour Sauce
We sourced dinosaur cookie cutters and hand-crafted every single nugget. Servers passed them around and offered dollops of house-made sweet and sour sauce as an interactive touch.

It was playful. It was familiar. It was wildly satisfying.

The Cocktails: 90s Energy in a Glass
Guests were welcomed on the deck with canapés and two interactive cocktails: The Pop Rocks Cocktail — glasses rimmed with Pop Rocks for that crackling, fizzy surprise before every sip. The Nerds Cocktail — topped with silky egg white foam and sprinkled with Nerds for a colourful throwback finish.
Fun. Interactive. Completely on theme.

The 90s Corner Store
We didn’t stop at food. We created a full candy “corner store” installation that looked like a 90s 7-Eleven dream. Every detail was intentional — from 5¢ candies to Ring Pops, Fun Dip, Dunkaroos, Sugar Sticks and more. The packaging was authentic, the display nostalgic, and the experience unforgettable.

Guests wandered through like kids with allowance money burning a hole in their pockets.

And Then… Roller Skating Servers
Because experiences are our love language.

Servers in full 90s tracksuits roller skated through the event space passing canapés, instantly transporting everyone back to Stardust roller rink.

It was unexpected. It was immersive. It was pure joy.

The White Table Difference
None of the food tasted exactly like the originals — because we weren’t serving processed food. Every single item was crafted from scratch by our kitchen team. Our creative team handled all branding and packaging design in-house, sourcing vessels and recreating recognizable labels in custom colour palettes to reflect the event design.

The result? An event that felt deeply nostalgic and instantly recognizable — but fully aligned with our luxury catering standards.

Nicola Wealth’s 90s Summer Party wasn’t just themed. It was an experience layered with intention, detail, and craftsmanship.

And honestly? We’re still not over it.
