On August 1st, 2016, we had the joy of taking part in a beautiful wedding at the False Creek Community Centre on Granville Island in Vancouver.
Rob and Brooke’s bohemian chic style was woven into the decor, with mid-century modern undertones and mixed metals throughout. Unique vases of beautiful, single blooms and natural arrangements covered the tables, provided by the talented Floralista. Place settings were pre-set, complete with our platinum rimmed plates and light grey linen napkins. Being travel enthusiasts, the bride and groom named the guest tables after their favourite travel spots.
Upon entering the reception venue, guests were welcomed with our infused water station, complete with a trio of refreshing summer flavours, along with a trail mix bar with all the fixings in beautiful apothecary glass jars.
Rob and Brooke opted for our popular summer barbecue menu, for a relaxed and casual yet classy feel. Fresh baked breads were delivered to each table with rosemary sea salted butter. Watermelon salad, summer fruit spinach salad, and quinoa garden salad were the perfect trio to start the meal, and were followed by grilled vegetables, grilled peaches and cream corn, roasted new potatoes, barbecue smoky chicken thighs, and barbecue sweet soy salmon.
Later in the evening, as guests enjoyed music from Eli Bennet, we opened our coffee bar with locally roasted Republica Coffee, and assorted specialty teas, to complement the Lucky’s Doughnuts doughnut display – a favourite date spot and treat of the bride and groom.
Congratulations, Rob and Brooke, and thank you for including us in your special day! Thank you to Meghan Bustard Photography for the beautiful photos.
